| In 1996 Mika Myllärinen brought a strange new drink by the name of “Mojito” to Torni’s American Bar. It included fresh mint, lime and rum, it was sweetened with cane sugar and topped off with club soda. The thought of mixing alcohol and fresh herbs was considered wacky at the time in Finland, but Mojito went on to become the trendiest drink, and today every self-respecting bar offers it in one form or another.
